Calibration of every participant is essential for ensuring the highest quality of data capture possible. While our rather cleaver algorithms - if we do say ourselves - can detect where people are looking with ease, we don't like to take any chances. So, we ask every participant to do a calibration test before and after watching a stimulus or viewing a social media feed.

The only activity which doesn't include our calibration component is HX Brand Control, as this is an unexposed activity and, therefore, doesn't include a stimulus or social media feed.

Pre Calibration Test

Before participants view a stimulus or social media feed they're shown a pre-stim/ feed calibration test. As with the post-stim/feed calibration test, this requires participants to click on a dot - our EllieBot icon - as it moves around the screen.

The pre calibration test requires participants to click on the EllieBot icon 13 times.

Post Calibration Test

Unlike the pre calibration test, the post calibration test only requires participants to click on the EllitBot icon four times.
